Today, in a Good Morning America exclusive video, Beyoncé revealed to fans that after struggling with diets for years, she has finally made a lifestyle change that allows her to maintain her fit figure.
“I am not naturally the thinnest woman. I have curves. I’m proud of my curves and I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works, actually keeps the weight off has been difficult for me.”
Based on her experience with The 22-Day Revolution, a program created by exercise physiologist, nutritionist and celebrity trainer Marco Borges, the singer has adopted a plant-based diet. The program encourages eating plant-based foods versus processed foods and carbs versus protein and fat, leading to results which include weight loss, increased energy, better sleep, and clearer skin.
In addition to helping her maintain her figure, Beyoncé attests to the fact that Borges’ vegan program promotes skin health.
“I felt like my skin was really firm, a lot tighter than when I deprived myself of food and got the weight off fast; and the weight stayed off.”
